The Wunderkammer is a private "wonder-room" in which its extraordinary contents from the private world are projected to the public one. The evocative image of the Wunderkammer recalls the fragile action and time in which the human being tried to codify and collect the whole world, but it is also a proposition to open our perspective to its wonderful heterogeneity: a precious and evanescent multiplicity of imagination experiences. Wunderkammer is a research project in the field of performative arts, questioning the act of seeing and the separation between social groups in a society. Together with a group of partially sighted and blind people and through their special perceptive and imaginative language, we investigated Berlin urban landscape. The work focused on the personal experience and contribution of each member of the group. The process of organization and elaborating the collected material give the name to the whole project. Wunderkammer is crash in the separation between majority and minority groups and communities of a society, between public and private spheres, individual and collective, memory and present.
Wunderkammer is a common vision, an artistic action, a political act.
